President Donald Trump has agreed to be a reader for the America Reads the Bible public reading of the entire bible. In a statement, the President said, “This week, I send my best wishes to every citizen gathered at the Museum of the Bible, on the National Mall, and all across our country participating in America Reads the Bible, a historic initiative in which nearly 500 Americans will take part in a public reading, over the course of one week, of the entire Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—to celebrate 250 years of the Bible in America.”

President Trump will read 2 Chronicles 7:11-22 on Tuesday, April 21 between 6 pm-7 pm ET.
For 84 hours over 8 days almost 500 national leaders will read the entire bible from start to finish. Other readers who are household names include: US House Speaker Mike Johnson, Franklin Graham, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Governor Sarah Sanders, Ambassador Mike Huckabee, Dr. Alveda King, Governor Ron DeSantis, former Governor Glenn Youngkin, Tony Perkins, David Barton, and many more members of Congress and national and state level leaders.
Alabama Policy Board and Staff Members have been planning this event with our partners at Christians Engaged & Family Policy Alliance for almost a year. Alabama Policy representatives will be reading from Jeremiah at the Museum of the Bible in DC on Thursday afternoon at 1pm EST. Reading for API will be Richard Stimpson, Angela O’Neill, Lisa Ann Muir-Taylor, Stephanie Smith, and Jerod Pilot. API Founder and current Congressman Gary Palmer and API Fellow Bishop James Lowe will also be representing Alabama by reading from Jeremiah & Ezekiel.
