Alexio Miranda, 32, pled guilty on Friday (June 26) to a felony firearm charge arising out of an anti-ICE riot back in January. The U.S. Attorney for Minnesota announced the plea deal in a press release,
St. Paul Man Pleads Guilty to Possession of Stolen Federal Firearms

The Dept. of Justice describes the incidnet,
[O]n January 14, 2026, Miranda participated in a violent civil disturbance in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in which he and others broke into a vehicle belonging to the FBI. When Miranda and an accomplice arrived, the FBI vehicle was already badly damaged, covered in graffiti, and the rear hatch was open. Miranda then broke into a vault in the cargo area and took a rifle bag and a satchel of ammunition. The bag contained a semiautomatic rifle and a silencer.
The press release notes the role of Miranda’s accomplice,
This defendant made a series of deliberate choices that put a stolen firearm into the hands of a prohibited person: Raul Gutierrez, an alleged Latin Kings gang member.
Gutierrez himself was charged in a separate indictment and pled guilty last month and is due for sentencing in July. His plea agreement notes two previous felony convictions and calls for a prison sentence of 8 to 10 years. A mugshot for Mr. Gutierrez,

For Miranda, his plea agreement includes sentencing guidelines calling for a prison sentence of between four and five years, owing, in part, due to his extensive criminal record. Miranda’s sentencing is scheduled for October.
So that’s two felony convictions for one incident. That will come as a complete surprise to local media consumers who have been told that these anti-ICE riot prosecutions are frivolous at best, or vindictive at worst.
Earlier this month, a federal grand jury indicted 15 Antifa members for anti-ICE rioting, an action which generated this Minneapolis Star Tribune headline,
Conspiracy indictment against Minnesota anti-ICE demonstrators comes as federal prosecutors struggle to hold up similar charges
A search of the Star Tribune website for “Alexio Mranda” produces no results. A search for “Raul Gutierrez” returns no results since the original arrest back in January.
The Star Tribune ignores the courtroom successes of prosecutors, then declares the effort to be a failure.
Another recent conviction involves an Isabel Lopez, charged after an anti-ICE riot back in June 2025 on Lake Street in Minneapolis, triggered by a massive drug bust.

On Tuesday, Lopez pled down felony charges to a single misdemeanor county. Standard stuff that happens every day in Hennepin County Court.
Her plea agreement included sentencing guidelines that called for a prison sentence of between 8 and 14 months in jail. That she received no jail time and no probation is entirely on the presiding judge, John Tunheim, a Democrat appointee. KARE-11 TV reports,
Ultimately, U.S. District Judge John Tunheim did not sentence Lopez to any probation, saying that he felt as if she had already served a year of probation.
Regardless, Isabel Lopez is now, by her own admission, a convicted criminal.
The latest name to be added to our roster of Minnesota Men, is Jorge Felix Martinez-Vera, who made his first appearance the week in federal court in downtown Minneapolis, facing a felony criminal count of illegal immigration. Your correspondent was there.
At the hearing’s conclusion, Martinez was “released” from custody, pending trial. As a practical matter, he was re-acquired by ICE.
I say “newest,” but in fact Martinez was indicted back in November. No court date has been set yet for his next appearance.
