Abdulkarim Shafii Farah, who participated in the unsuccessful plot to bribe a juror in the first Feeding Our Future courtroom trial, was sentenced to five years in federal prison this morning.

Abdulkarim himself was not on trial in the spring of 2024, but he worked with two half-brothers who were, all in a conspiracy to bribe a juror in that federal case with $120,000 in cash.
Abdulkarim, now age 26, pled guilty in the bribery case back in April 2025, which I wrote about here.
Today, he was sentenced to 57 months in prison, just under five years. The 57-months figure was at the top end of the range negotiated in the plea deal and was the number recommended by prosecutors in presentencing filings.
At this point, all five conspirators indicted in the bribery case have pled guilty. Not all have been sentenced.
