“ICE agent shoots Minneapolis man” was the biggest headline in America for about ten minutes last week (January 14) until the details began trickling out, then the story was forgotten forever.
Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis was the man shot in the leg and he is now in federal custody in the Sherburne County jail, charged with assaulting a federal officer.

Also in custody is an alleged accomplice, Alfredo Alejandro Aljorna, age 26, facing the same charges,

Both men were taken into custody late last week and both are due in federal court this morning for detention hearings.
National Public Radio (NPR) reported last week (when the media still cared) that the then-unnamed Sosa is Venezuelan. At their initial court appearance last week, both Sosa and Aljorna had consular notices read into the record, qualifying both for official Minnesota Man status.
According to the federal complaint filed in the case, around 6 pm, ICE agents were searching for a third man (an illegal alien) in Minneapolis when a high-speed car chase ensued, followed by a car crash, and then a chase on foot (Aljorna). As Aljorna approached his apartment building, he was joined by Sosa, who then (allegedly) began beating the agent with a broom handle and shovel. Yet another individual may or may not have joined in with the shovel beating.
Both men are also being held on immigration holds.
