Feeding Our Future, sentence #10, over three years

Abdullahe Nur Jesow was sentenced to 43 months in federal prison, becoming just the tenth defendant sentenced in the case, to date. That works out to 3 years and seven months. He was also ordered to forfeit $866,000.

Jesow, now age 65, is defendant No. 28 (of 79) in the sprawling free feed scandal. He was indicted in September 2022 and in September 2025 Jesow pled guilty to one count of money laundering, becoming the 53rd conviction (out of 64) in the case.

According to court filings he was born in Somalia.

Jesow’s most public role in the scandal was his proprietorship of Benadir Hall, an event venue located on East Lake Street in south Minneapolis.

Benadir Hall was the venue for the now-infamous June 2021 “celebration” of Feeding Our Future founder Aimee Bock’s courtroom victory over the state Dept. of Education. The event was captured on video and featured testimonials from a number of scandal-linked figures and prominent Democratic politicians. (Watch the video here).
