

Policy analyst, Harris Van Pate, joined the WGAN Morning News to discuss Maine Policy’s new report, Accountability Gap, which measures charter schools and public schools using the accountability metrics used to judge the success of charter schools and renew their charters. The report found that if all public schools had to abide by the standards set for charter schools, roughly 1-in-7, or more than 70 public schools, would be forced to close.
