Minnesota Men leave 2 x 2

Today, we have a pair of Minnesota Men set to return to their native Mexico, if all goes according to plan in court today. Both are scheduled to appear in federal court in downtown St. Paul to plead guilty to felony counts of illegal re-entry of previously deported aliens.

This morning, Adan Toledano-Orzua, age 48, billed out of Minneapolis, is scheduled to plead guilty.

Toledano was taken into ICE custody back on June 3 and was transferred to the Sherburne County jail on July 18. His record includes a 2009 domestic assault case that was pled down to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct conviction. He was deported in February 2009. He had a felony drug conviction back in 2000.

He is a participant in the Fast Track program and will be sentenced to time served on the re-entry felony.

His defense lawyer writes,

Adan Toledano-Urzua entered the United States to find work and support his
daughter financially as she pursued her education.

The defense documents, in summary terms, the long work history of Mr. Toledano and remittances back to Mexico.

Next up, this afternoon Oscar Orosca-Pelayo is scheduled to appear and plead guilty. Proscutors document a October 1999 deportation.

His defense lawyer (same lawyer as above) writes,

Oscar Orosco-Pelayo entered the United States to find work and to provide for his
family.

Good for him. Too bad he couldn’t be bothered to follow the law. He will now be returning to his native Mexico a convicted felon.

He came to the attention of federal authorities in July 2025 when he was charged with filing a false police report. He’s been in federal custody since July 10. A participant in the Fast Track program, he will be sentenced to time served and will soon be back in Mexico.

Adios, Adan and Oscar!
