The ICE effect

A quick look at current Minneapolis crime statistics shows a sharp drop in nearly all crime categories since the surge began.

Here is the latest crime dashboard, with statistics posted through January 12.

Assaults are up, both year to date and over the past four weeks. Sex offenses show a slight uptick over those same periods. But every other category shows a decrease, and significant decreases in many items.

Democrat politicians call the recent surge of federal ICE/BP/Homeland Security officers a “a federal invasion of Minneapolis” that makes the city less safe.

An examination of actual results on the ground show just the opposite.
