I’m working to update ScandalTrackerTM, which has not been refreshed since July.
The update remains a work in progress and I will continue to refine the numbers and improve the functionality of the spreadsheet.
But this first cut at an update gives you a feel for how we get above the $1 billion figure.
I’m also moving away from point estimates for every item where uncertainty remains as to the amount.
In related news, the Minnesota Star Tribune has updated their number for total fraud from a laughably-small $152 million to a laughably-small $218 million. They append a paragraph-long “Correction” to their December 7 piece, which isn’t even worth getting into.
If that wasn’t enough comedy from the state’s largest newspaper, this headline came out today, from a commentary piece,
