Gandi Yusuf Mohamed pled guilty in the Feeding Our Future case this morning at the federal courthouse in downtown Minneapolis.
Mohamed, a/k/a Gandi Abdi Kediye, became the 65th defendant convicted in the sprawling free-food scandal. Gandi was the last of a seven-member family group to plead guilty.
The group was centered on Gandi’s sister, Ikram Mohamed, who once worked as a Feeding Our Future employee. Gandi is defendant No. 69 in the case (out of 79, overall).
Ikram was present at a December 2021 meeting between a number of food fraudsters and state Attorney General Keith Ellison. Ikram recorded the audio from that meeting, which can be heard here. Exactly one year ago, today, American Experiment was the first organization to publish that recording, which had been filed as evidence in a Feeding Our Future courtroom trial.
A few days after that meeting with Ikram, in December 2021, Gandi donated the maximum $2,500 to Ellison’s re-election campaign.

Last year, Ellison forwarded Gandi’s donation, along with three others, to the Dept. of Justice.
