Asha Jama, part of the Brava Restaurant group of defendants from Rochester, was sentenced on Tuesday to six months in federal prison for her role in the Feeding Our Future scandal. She was also ordered to repay some $450,000.

Asha is one of six defendants charged from the extended Jama family, and is Feeding Our Future Defendant No. 41 (out of about 80, overall). From the Jama group, five have pled guilty while one died of natural causes. Asha’s guilty plea places her as the 39th conviction, out of 67, overall.
She is just the 18th defendant to be sentenced in the case.

Mustafa Jama is scheduled to be sentence next month.
