At the recent Farmfest gubernatorial debate, each of the candidates was asked a question on the fraud in Minnesota and what they were going to do about it. Amy Klobuchar started her response saying,
“The people of Minnesota were ripped off. This was wrong and it should have been caught earlier.”
Yet between January 20, 2022 — the day the FBI raided Feeding Our Future—and December 31, 2025—right before she launched her campaign for governor — Amy Klobuchar issued 1,085 press releases, and not one of them addressed the Minnesota fraud scandal.
Her answer at Farmfest echoes a similar sentiment she expressed in May of this year, as quoted in an article from the Washington Examiner, “’You are right to be angry about the fraud,’ Klobuchar said during the St. Paul event. ‘It is unacceptable, and it must end.’”
Why did Klobuchar never express her anger about this fraud before her gubernatorial campaign? In hindsight, she says the fraud should have been caught earlier; but her official voice was silent while it was happening.
On January 20th, 2022, the FBI raided numerous locations connected to Feeding Our Future. Certainly, she must have become aware of the fraud by this point. Did Klobuchar release a statement? She did not. What about on September 30th, 2022, when the DOJ indicted Aimee Bock and 46 others, making it the largest fraud indictment in Minnesota history at the time? Did she release a statement then? She did not.
What happened to “the people of Minnesota were ripped off?” Did she not hold this opinion throughout 2022-2025? Or was she merely unaware of the fraud during this period? Federal money was being used to fund the Feeding Our Future program, and Klobuchar, as our representative to the federal government, either didn’t care enough to put out a statement, or was completely ignorant. Either way, it doesn’t look so great. What about “You are right to be angry about the fraud?” Was she angry about the fraud throughout 2022-2025? If so, why not issue a single press release?
In the same answer to the Farmfest question, Klobuchar claims she was the one that recommended U.S. attorney Andy Luger, the prosecutor who helped expose the fraud, as an apparent way to showcase the effort she put into stopping fraud. Except President Joe Biden announced Luger’s nomination on November 12, 2021, well before the January 20th, 2022, FBI raids. This means her recommendation had nothing to do with the fraud; yet this is the achievement she brings up in a question about stopping fraud?
So what exactly was Klobuchar issuing press releases on during 2022-2025? If there isn’t a single one on fraud, there must have been other pressing issues that took precedence, as she has only gotten around to talking about fraud in her gubernatorial campaign. Below is a side-by-side of some significant dates in the Feeding Our Future fraud scandal, and what Klobuchar was releasing around the same time.

Klobuchar goes on Rachel Maddow to talk about voting rights. January 21st, she calls for protected status for immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua.
February 25, 2022:
Klobuchar commends Biden for nominating what could be the first Black woman to the Supreme Court.
September 20, 2022:
September 21, the day after, Klobuchar releases statement on resuming full immigrant visa services in Havana.
March 14, 2023:
Klobuchar introduces legislation to make E15 gasoline

February 8th, three days after the additional charges, Klobuchar releases a statement declaring AI-generated voices in robocalls illegal. She calls the people using these “fraudsters”, “scammers”, attributing to them “fraudulent use” of AI. Yet still no mention of all the other fraud happening in Feeding Our Future programs.
June 13, 2024:
